Sinful Colors - Dazzle
Today I bring you an old nail polish that's new to me, courtesy of Big Lots. This beaut is Sinful Colors' "Dazzle", from their limited edition 2012 Holiday Shimmers collection. Dazzle is everything I love about a nail polish - it has chunky shimmer, it catches the light and it's impossible to stop looking at your hands when you wear it.
Dazzle is a gorgeous plum pink color that builds really easily and evenly on the nails. I'm wearing two coats, topped off with Essie No Chips Ahead top coat. For a little experiment I didn't use a base coat like I typically do. I've had such issues with my nail polish chipping in a day that I wanted to see if reducing the amount of polish on my nails would help. I don't know if this nail polish is just amazing, or if this whole no base coat thing is the real deal, but so far so good! I've been wearing this for 2 days and so far I've experienced very minimal chipping - just a tiny bit of wear on one of my nail tips.
While you can't buy Dazzle in stores anymore, you can pick it up for yourself on eBay if you like what you see. And I'd highly recommend you do - this is one amazing polish that you need in your collection!

Nail Polish Haul II!
This weekend I did a little shopping and ended up finding some awesome deals on nail polish. Not that I need any more (especially if you've seen part of my stash)... but you know, I couldn't pass up a good deal! I thought you might want to see...
TJ Maxx had an abundance of China Glaze polishes, for a total STEAL. I got each of these for just $2.99! They typically retail for $7.50+! On the left is Twinkle Lights which is comprised of a clear base and gold, red and green glitter. This color is Christmas in a bottle! The middle is Some Like it Haute, a holographic blue/gray glitter. And on the right is Running in Circles, a gorgeous green glitter with subtle gold flecks.
I have yet to try any of the Liquid Sand polishes and only the ones with glitter have caught my eye, so I grabbed a set while at TJ Maxx. The polish on the left is Get Your Number, an ocean blue with tons of glitter. The polish on the right is Stay the Night which has a black base and pink glitter. It looks like lava - I can't wait to try this one out!
These last four polishes are from Big Lots and I got them for just $1 each! On the left is Sharon's Heart, a medium pink with fine golden shimmer. Next to that is Dazzle, a mega-glittery purpley pink. To the right of that is Bare, a purple-toned nude with a hint of white shimmer. Lastly, on the right is Winter Wonder, a complex color that looks greyish-blue, but is made up of gold, purple, and blue glitter.
I'm in love with all of these colors, and the best part about it is that I spent less than the normal retail price on every single one!

Sinful Colors Eyeshadow
I own plenty of Sinful Colors nail polishes (although they haven't been featured on Glazed Over yet, surprisingly) but I had no idea that they made other cosmetics, too! Oddly enough, you wouldn't know it from their website either, which is dedicated solely to nail polish. Don't let that fool you - Sinful Colors also makes eyeshadows!
I was browsing a locally owned drugstore recently and came across these eyeshadows on sale for $1.99 each (normally $4 each). I snagged a couple of the prettier colors I could find because I figured for that price, who cares if they're bad! I picked up three colors (listed beginning on bottom left, and clockwise): Pandora, So-Pretty and Upscale.
As you can see, the two colors on the left, Pandora and So-Pretty, are very similar but look much more different than they appear on camera. Pandora is a champagney pink that is great for an inner corner highlight, as it has very fine glitter and catches the light very well. So-Pretty is my favorite of the bunch, and it's more of a peachy rose-gold color that is shimmery but doesn't have any glitter. It would be perfect alone or mixed with other colors. Upscale is a dark chocolate brown that features gold glitter. It isn't super pigmented, but it could be built up. I would definitely recommend wetting your brush to help avoid glitter fallout with this one.
Here you can see what these look like. I did wear Pandora and So-Pretty together this past week, and I have to say I wasn't thrilled. The shadows are quite powdery and even with a primer they didn't have much lasting power. After 8 hours there was just a hint of color left on my eyelids. That's what you get for $2, I suppose! And probably why I haven't really heard much talk of these anywhere.
I'm sure I'll still get some good use out of these, and I definitely don't regret the purchase. If you're interested in trying some out for yourself, CherryCulture.com has a sale going on and you can get these Sinful Colors eyeshadows for just $2 each.
Have any of you tried these? Let me know what you think in the comments below!
