HASK | Charcoal Purifying Hair Care Collection
You guys already know how much I love Hask. Their hair line is not only affordable, but their products work and perform like they're high end, not from the drugstore. They recently sent me their Charcoal Purifying line, and I am so excited to share it with you.
The Charcoal Purifying line has three components: a shampoo, conditioner and deep conditioner. The main goal of these three products is to get rid of build up in your hair (think hair spray, product residue, gel, you name it) and deep clean your tresses. However, despite the mega cleaning they'll provide, they're safe enough to use every day - they won't strip your hair of the moisture and oils it needs.
Charcoal is the main ingredient that works to suck up all the nasty you want to get rid of. It acts like a magnet to attract dirt and impurities so your hair is fuller, shinier and voluminous! Vitamin C, grapefruit oil and lemon oil are the three magic ingredients that allow you to use these products as often as you want without losing moisture.
I loooooove this shampoo and conditioner. I notice my hair feeling cleaner but also really soft and free of build-up. As if that wasn't good enough already, the smell of this line is unreal. If they could bottle this scent in to a perfume, I'd wear it. It's lemony and perfumey and amazing.
If you're someone who doesn't wash their hair every day, or uses a lot of products like hairspray or gel, (or both!) I think you'll find this line to be your new favorite.
Other good things? This line is free of parabens, pthalates, sulfates, gluten, alcohol and artificial colors. For more information on this line, check out this site. Purchase Hask at your local drugstore or Ulta.

Insta Natural Argan Oil Hair Mask
Girls, you know I love my hair masks. I've talked about them a million times on Glazed Over. I just think they're so important in maintaining healthy, happy hair. I use a deep conditioning mask every 2 washes, which is once a week in my hair wash routine. I think it makes a HUGE difference in the overall health of my hair. I especially love deep conditioners formulated with argan oil, so I welcomed the chance to try out Insta Natural's Superior Hydration Argan Oil hair mask.
The Insta Natural mask is made with a bunch of good ingredients for your hair: Argan Oil, Japanese Green Tea, Amino Acid Complex, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil & Vitamin B5. Together, these ingredients work to nourish and replenish damaged and dry hair.
You'd expect that this mask has that typical argan oil scent, but it doesn't. I can't exactly put my finger on what this smells like - it reminds me of something, but I just can't place it and it's driving me crazy! It kind of smells like Juicy Fruit gum or something... it's odd, but I actually really like it.
I left this product in my wet hair (after shampooing) for about 10 minutes, and then washed it out. I let my hair air dry and it felt so soft and smooth. My hair responds really well to argan oil deep conditioners and products, and this conditioner was no exception. My hair felt replenished and healthy, which actually kind of surprised me as this brand is not as well known. I should know better, as a beauty blogger, not to make that kind of judgement, but I can't help it!
Much to my surprise, I really like this mask and I'd recommend it! You can purchase it at InstaNatural.com for $17.95 (8 0z.).

PURE & Essential Minerals Morocco Argan Oil Hair Mask
I love a good hair mask. I typically like to deep condition my hair at least once a week, which for me means every 2 washes as I wash my hair every 2 days. It feels so good to nourish my hair with a really intense conditioning treatment, so needless to say I jumped at the chance to try this hair mask by PURE & Essential Minerals.
This is a pretty teeny little jar of hair product, measuring at just 4 oz. Considering this is a rather pricey product, retailing at $29.99, that is not nearly enough product for my cheap ass (unless something is a real miracle worker, of course). Interestingly enough, this hair mask comes in a glass jar, which I don't like because things tend to slip out of my hands in the shower. What can I say - I'm a klutz! The product itself is a creamy white color, and has little to no smell, which is unfortunate. Don't you always think of a fancy salon smell when you think of an argan oil hair mask? (Even if it's totally a fabricated smell) Personally I like my hair to have a lingering scent from the products I use, so this was a disappointment.
When using this mask, I first washed my hair with my argan oil HerStyler shampoo, a favorite of mine to use with my deep conditioner. (click here for a full review) I then applied the mask all over my hair, scalp to ends, as the instructions suggested. I left it in for about 5 minutes as I washed my body and shaved my legs and what not. It rinsed out easily.
Unfortunately, the results were mediocre. In fact, it was probably the worst deep conditioning hair mask that I've ever tried. I allowed my hair to dry naturally, and it was frizzy and tangly and didn't feel nourished in the least. I've used regular conditioners that do more for my hair than this. I guess on the up-side it didn't weigh my hair down, but it just didn't do much for me at all.
One of the main claims of this product is that it restores moisture and shine, and my hair felt neither hydrated nor did it look shiny. Overall, I felt this was a pretty blah and boring product. I certainly wouldn't spend $30 on it. If I'm going to spend that much on a deep conditioner, I'm going to repurchase my holy grail.
Check out this PURE & Essential hair mask on Amazon to read even more reviews. And if you've tried this product, definitely let me know how you liked it!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
