Matrix Style Link Favorites!
I am a no-fuss hair person. I get confused easily about what to put in my hair when - mousse then serum? Blow dry spray and then oil? I mean, I really don't think too hard about it. And thankfully, with these Matrix products, I really don't have to think too hard about what goes where, when, because their Style Link line makes it super easy!
There are four different "families" in the Style Link line: Prep, Play, Perfect and Boost. The four products in the Prep line are to use on damp hair, prior to styling, creating a canvas to play with later. Play products are multi-taskers, designed to be used on damp or dry hair to mold, shape and design the style you want. Perfect products complete any look, keeping your tresses in place. And finally, Boost products are to boost performance for extra hold, shine or volume.
Like I said, these products make it simple to mix and match and have fabulous hair with zero stress about what to use when. Here are my favorites from the line:
From the Prep line, I've got two favorites. The first is the Heat Buffer, which is a thermal styling spray. It smells amazing (as do all products in the line!), kind of fruity and salon-like all at the same time. I use this every time before I blow dry or curl my hair to protect it from heat and I can tell it works. My hair doesn't smell burned or heat-treated the way it does if I'm using an inferior thermal protectant. It also adds a nice shine to my hair without making it look greasy.
The Turbo Dryer is another fast favorite. This speeds up the time it takes to blow dry your hair, therefore reducing the amount of time your hair has to be exposed to heat. It also helps minimize frizz.
The Smooth Setter, also from the Prep line, is so so nice. It's a cream that tames flyaways and frizz and makes your hair so smooth and soft. It does all of this without making your hair feel oily or weighed down. And, if you couldn't guess, it smells amazing, too. This might be one of my most favorite products from the entire line.
The Gloss Booster is part of the Boost line. This product adds shine to dull hair, again - without looking greasy or gross. My hair has looked kind of dull and drab lately, but when I use this product, combined with the Smooth Setter, my hair is soft, smooth, frizz-free, and shiny.
Lastly, the Volume Fixer from the Perfect line, is a gem. It's a lightweight hair spray that locks in volume and whatever style you took the time to do. It won't make your hair feel crunchy or tangled, but it will hold a curl all day long. Can you guess... it smells amazing, too.
These products are available at salons and at Ulta. I thoroughly enjoy Matrix products and this Style Link line and would recommend them if you're in the market for some new hair goodies!
