Memebox | Silk Fingerballs + Yeondukong Fix Lip

Now and then Memebox sends me some goodies to try out - fun Korean beauty items that are (typically) unlike anything sold in the US. K-Beauty is becoming a big trend lately, and for good reason - all of the products I've tried through Memebox are great quality, and they're unique and game-changers in the cosmetics world.

The most recent package of goodies I received features Silk Fingerballs (totally not something you'll find in the US) and Yeondukong Fix Lip, a really great lippie.

Yeondukong Fix Lip ($12) is a cool lip product -- it's marketed as a lipstick, moisturizer and primer in one. The shade you see above is in #01 Red Orange. It is insanely pigmented and quite comfortable on the lips. This lippie is formulated with mango, grapeseed, apple oil, and honey extracts to nourish and moisturize the lips.

This shade is not for the faint of heart; if you don't like bright, bold shades, stay far far away. But if bold is your thing, you're going to absolutely love the Fix Lip lippies.

The Silk Fingerballs ($4.58 for 12) are one of the most unusual beauty products I've tried. They are made of 100% silk, and are supposed gently exfoliate the skin and remove blackheads. To use, just soak the fingerball in lukewarm water for 2-3 minutes until soft, then rub over areas suffering from blackheads. They are gentle on the skin, but I'm not sure they did a whole lot for my skin? Perhaps with repeated use they would make a difference. They'd certainly make for a fun gift item for any friend who likes to experiment with beauty!

What's the oddest beauty product you've ever tried? Let me know!
