Lime Crime - Crema de Limon
Earlier this year I redeemed some Ipsy points I had for this Lime Crime - Crema de Limon nail polish. I absolutely LOVE Lime Crime packaging and branding, it's the marketing professional in me (my day job). It's fun and vibrant, and the products are always edgy and colorful. This is the first time I've ever owned anything from the brand, and I was super excited to finally try something of theirs out.
Crema de Limon is an opaque, pastel cream yellow. I'm wearing two coats, topped off with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat. I thought for sure this was a matte color, because of the packaging, but it isn't.
I wore this for Easter, and this is the perfect pale yellow for the holiday. It isn't streaky, it isn't patchy, it's just a nice, cream nail polish. Yellow can be a tough color to sport on the nails, but Crema de Limon would look good on anyone. This polish started chipping towards the end of the second day of wearing it.
Have you tried anything from Lime Crime?

Love & Beauty - Yellow
Many times I have walked in to Forever 21, considered buying one of their polishes, and then for some reason, decided against it. The other weekend I decided to finally go with my gut and pick some up. (Why not... they're only $2.80!) This very creatively named polish is called "Yellow", and I'm wearing three coats topped off with a coat of Sally Hansen - Insta-Dri top coat.
I picked this color up because it is very unique when you see it in the bottle; it appears to be shimmery, with very small blue/green and pink glitter. However, once on the nail, that shimmer and glitter is hardly noticeable. I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with this polish.
Application was very goopy and frustrating, and even with three coats you can still see some nail line on my pinky finger, and inconsistency in coverage. Overall - kind of a bummer.

China Glaze - Electric Pineapple
It is a beautiful day here in southern Minnesota and as I looked through my pile of untried polishes, I started looking for something that screamed summer. That's when my eyes locked on a polish from China Glaze's 2011 Island Escape summer collection called Electric Pineapple.
In the bottle, this looks very neon, but once it's on it's more of a muted greenish yellow creme polish. I bumped a couple nails and messed them up, but regardless, I still really like how this color looks! This is two coats of Electric Pineapple, topped off with Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri top coat.
I added a couple purple rhinestones just for fun, and there you have it! A great color for summer!
So great in fact that I decided it was time for a pedicure, too!
And wa-lah, my toes are ready for flip flops! I really like the row of purple rhinestones at the top, which compliments Electric Pineapple nicely. I pressed the rhinestones on as the polish was close to dry, and then once it dried completely I put superglue around them to hopefully ensure they stay on awhile!
What color are you wearing to welcome in the warm weather?
