Studio Gear Holiday Smokey Eye Palette | Review + Swatches

With the holidays upon us, it's time to start switching up your makeup routine to fit with the season! Radiant, sultry eyes are the perfect addition to any holiday outfit, and with the Studio Gear Holiday Smokey Eyes Palette, you get all the colors you need to achieve a classic smoky eye with a hint of golden glimmer.

You can find this palette at select Ulta stores, or online at Studio Gear's website.

This palette has white, silver, gold, and coal eye shadows and also includes a perfect pink blush.

As you can see in the photo above, the palette provides detailed instructions for how to create a smoky-eyed look with a blushing glow.

From L to R on top and L to R on bottom, the colors are: Frost, Coal, Platinum, and Glimmer.  The blush is called Snowy Glow. For some reason, the  chart on the top left of the palette has the colors out of order.

This palette is just okay. To be completely honest, I wouldn't spend $40 on it because there are so many other affordable holiday palettes that are much better quality for around the same price. While Platinum and Glimmer applied well and had a nice consistency, Frost was very powdery and Coal was not as pigmented as I had would have liked.

The true gem of the Studio Gear Holiday Smokey Eye palette is the blush, Snowy Glow. It's a perfect peachy pink with a hint of golden shimmer. It has great color payoff and lasts all day, and looks so beautiful on the cheeks. It is of far better quality than the eyeshadows in the palette.
