MAC Haul!

It's been a while since I've placed a MAC order but I'm getting dangerously low on Fix+ and I don't ever want to be without it! And once I started perusing the website, I couldn't help but notice their single eyeshadow refills are now only $6 (they used to be $10!) and then I had myself a nice little haul! Here's what I picked up...

If you haven't used Fix+ ($22 for 3.4 oz), you need to. It's a game changer (and made my best of 2015 list). It's infused with green tea, chamomile and cucumber to soothe the skin. It seems pretty basic, just a nice refreshing spray, but it makes all the difference in my makeup. Once I've applied all of my makeup, this is the last step. I mist my face with Fix+ and it makes my makeup look more natural and it helps set everything and keep it locked on. If you prefer zero dewy-ness to your skin, this isn't for you, but I think a little bit of sheen makes skin look healthier and younger. A bottle like this lasts me many months, so I find it to be well worth the price.

L to R: Haux, Malt, Quarry
Yes, you read right above, MAC refill eyeshadow pans are just $6 each now. I keep mine in a Z palette and it works wonderfully! I picked up three shadows, from left to right, I got Haux, Malt and Quarry.

Haux is described as a "soft muted rosy brown". Malt is said to be a "soft pinkish-beige", and Quarry is described as a "soft muted plum brown". These colors are all matte and work great for every day eyeshadow. They're great to blend with other shadows or to define the crease. All of these are great eyeshadows to pick up if you're new to the MAC world and need some basic colors that you'll get a ton of use out of.

What are your favorite MAC shadow shades? Let me know for my next order!

Holiday Cheer + What I Got for Christmas

With the hustle and bustle of the holidays I didn't have much time to post anything here on Glazed Over! I had a jam packed week and I thought I'd share with you what I was up to, plus my Christmas beauty haul.

My husband and I are quite lucky that both of our families live nearby so we are able to see both of our families pretty equally during the holidays. We had so much fun with our loved ones, and we had lots of fun with Winnie as it was her very first Christmas. Santa Paws deemed her a very nice girl and she got some fun new toys in her stocking.

It's bittersweet to see the holidays come to an end, but I am looking forward to all that 2015 has to offer!

Xmas Eve Apples to Apples battle | Strong coffee in my fave mug | Winnie + me on Xmas Eve | Winnie by the tree
Xmas Eve FOTD | Winnie @ both of  her grandma & grandpas houses | VIP bowling | My parent's Xmas Tree

I have to say, I was utterly spoiled this Christmas. My hubby and parents got me some amazing beauty goodies and I thought I'd share. Let me know what holiday goodies you received!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and Santa was extra good to you! Cheers to 2015!

Mega Haul!

It's been QUITE some time since I've allowed myself to splurge on some beauty goodies. Lately I've been focusing on using what I have instead of buying anything more. BUT, I did need some face cleanser, and I saw an excellent deal on some Korres goodies (a brand I've never tried but have been wanting to experiment with) and well... one trip to TJ Maxx later and we've got ourselves a haul....

Back in June, Korres was featured on Hautelook and I could not resist (despite putting myself on a no-buy that I'd been strictly adhering to since May!). I've long wanted to try the lip butters, and I have to say I am not disappointed in the least - they're creamy and hydrating and feel really nice on the lips. I have yet to try the body butters, but I have a feeling I won't be disappointed.

I was super excited to see Organic Surge Pure & Clean face wash at  TJ Maxx. I've tried a couple of Organic Surge products and thoroughly enjoyed them, but never have I used anything from their skincare line. I also decided to pick up the Amie Morning Clear Purifying Facial Wash. I picked this up entirely on a whim; I know nothing about it, so I admit I bought it purely on the cute packaging (I'm such a victim of great packaging). The Rusk Being Gutsy hair thickener I bought for no real reason - it looks cool and I can always use some extra volume.

Yay - two more Organic Surge products! I don't have much selection of facial moisturizers, and these come in really nice, sturdy glass pots (again, a victim of great packaging). My skin has been loving all natural products and I haven't been using an all natural moisturizer lately (at least in the morning), so I'm looking forward to trying these.

Of all the items I've recently purchased, these are the two I'm most excited about. I've heard so much about Paula's Choice, and I've recently started looking more at Paula's website. If you haven't checked it out, and you care about the ingredients in your beauty products, you need to give it a look. Paula's Choice had their face wash on sale over the 4th of July so I picked a couple up and got an awesome deal. So maybe I'm a bit of a skincare junkie?....

Let me know if you've tried any of these products out!! What have you hauled lately?
