Makeup Mail: L'Occitane

I am so excited to show you the goodies that came in the mail for me yesterday! If you follow me on Twitter, you may remember a while back I tweeted about buying some L'Occitane products on Hautelook. Now, let me pause here, because if you don't know what Hautelook is, you really ought to sign up. It's a discount site that features beauty, fashion and lifestyle brands at MEGA discounts. They send you an email daily with the day's featured brands. Let me just tell you - I have scored some awesome deals on great brands through Hautelook. If you want to sign up, just click here!

Annnnyway, I've been curious about L'Occitane for quite some time and when I saw it on Hautelook, I had to indulge. Take a peek at what I picked up...

This face mist says it instantly refreshes and hydrates the skin and can be used at any time of the day. You can use this to give your skin a quick boost, or as a makeup setting spray. It does have a pretty pronounced citrus/perfumey smell, so if you're sensitive to scents or don't like a setting spray with a scent this might not be the product for you. Another weird thing - I sprayed it on my face yesterday, expecting it to be translucent and watery (much like the Skindinavia setting sprays) but it totally wasn't. It sprays out white, which is something I don't like.

Hand Creams in Magical Leaves and Marvellous Flowers

L'Occitane lotion has been the thing I've most wanted to try from their brand, and I am pleasantly surprised. To be honest, I was most attracted to the packaging, but it turns out that the product inside is pretty awesome, too. Unlike the face mist, these have very light scents that are hardly noticeable. They smell fresh and spring-y, and the fragrance becomes unnoticeable pretty quickly. Personally, I like a less pronounced hand lotion scent because I don't like to compete with the perfume I'm wearing. These are super hydrating and soft and I'm really glad these lived up to my expectations. (And yes, that's how they spelled "marvelous" on the packaging... with two Ls. Is that French or something?)

Lip gloss in tins - my weakness!! I couldn't pass this up, and I'm sure glad I didn't. It's really moisturizing and soft on the lips. I thought this would smell more like rose, and it kind of does, but the smell is so faint I can hardly pick it up. I can shove my nose in the tin and can't really smell anything at all. I think this must be discontinued or something because I couldn't find it anywhere online, or even on L'Occitane's website.

Well, that's my haul!. What are your favorite products by L'Occitane, and have you tried any of the ones I mentioned?
